Story about the Design:
Zebra Pegasus reimagines the Greek winged horse with a Southern African twist: the mythological steed wears a zebra’s bicolour coat while its wings take on parrot-bright feathers—an example of Hermès’ 2014 silk theme of metamorphosis. The design became a house highlight that season and has been produced in multiple formats.

Artist's Story:
British artist Alice Shirley has collaborated with Hermès since 2012, celebrated for richly rendered fauna and myth—“a zebra with parrot-like wings” among them. Zebra Pegasus marked an early, breakthrough Hermès design, and Shirley has since created several collector-favourite motifs for the maison.
