Story about the Design: During the Second Empire, officers of the Imperial Guard wore ornate uniforms with Dolman jackets covered in decorative frog fastenings. Caty Latham created the original Brandebourgs scarf in 1972 from this military-uniform inspiration. Brandebourgs Points reinterprets that famous design in dotted lines, softening the traditional silhouette and decorations into a more minimal, semi-plain composition while preserving the prestige of the original motif.
Artist's Story: Caty Latham, also known as Cathy Latham-Audibert, is one of the notable long-standing Hermès scarf designers, associated with many classic designs including Les Clés, Brandebourgs and Bolduc.
