Story about the Design: Dimitri Rybaltchenko imagines a whimsical sky where stratus, cirrus and cumulonimbus become a playground for daydreams: paper planes dart between rolling clouds, a staircase climbs the vapor, musicians and acrobats float, fish and birds mingle, and even a whale glides beneath the cloud island. The design frames beautifully thanks to its printed striped border, and the Crème/Bleu clair/Marine palette reads crisp when folded.
Artist's Story: Rybaltchenko is a long-standing Hermès carré artist (active since the mid-1990s), son of Hermès artist Vladimir “Rybal” Rybaltchenko and great-grand-nephew of Philippe Ledoux—three generations linked to the maison’s silk heritage. His oeuvre spans house favorites such as Minuit au Faubourg, Pégase Pop, and the technically ambitious double-sided Formule Chic; he lives and works in Paris.
