Story about the Design: “La Rosée” scatters roses, buds, petals and shimmering dewdrops across a luminous ground—an ode to early morning light that explains its English title “Dew.” The design debuted in 1960 and has been revisited multiple times; some reissues were produced for Evian and bear a dedicated marking, underscoring the dew/water theme.
Artist's Story: Anne Gavarni (1922–2014), great-granddaughter of the celebrated 19th-century illustrator Paul Gavarni, created several beloved Hermès designs including La Rosée, Les Champignons II and Animaux Légumes. Beyond her work for Hermès, she exhibited in Paris and explored techniques such as etching throughout her career.
