Artist's Story:
No individual artist has been reliably attributed to this enamel motif. Its imagery belongs to the house’s established design vocabulary, drawing on Hermès’s heritage in saddlery, leatherwork and equestrian-inspired hardware.

Story about the Design:
Colliers de Chiens translates as Dog Collars and references the origins of the celebrated Collier de Chien family. In 1927, a client inspired Hermès to transform details from a dog collar into a belt, while the house dates the creation of the Collier de Chien jewellery collection to 1949. Its distinctive visual language combines bold collars, sculptural rings and pyramid-shaped Médor elements.

Collector's Notes:
This substantial rigid bangle has a 70 mm inner diameter and a statement-making 36 mm width. The gold-and-grey palette is framed by silver-tone palladium-plated rims, creating a strong contrast that highlights the architectural Colliers de Chiens motif. The hallmark letter was reported as p, but its surrounding shape is unknown; therefore, an issue year cannot be assigned reliably.

Craftsmanship Note:
The bracelet is constructed as a rigid, clasp-free metal bangle with a smooth enamel surface and palladium-plated edging. To preserve its finish, protect it from impacts, abrasive surfaces, prolonged moisture, perfumes and household chemicals, and store it separately from other jewellery.
