Artist's Story:
Paris-based illustrator and longtime Hermès collaborator, Virginie Jamin has created numerous carrés and motifs for the Maison since 2004. Her work mines the Émile Hermès archives and the house’s equestrian heritage, translating stirrups, bits, and harness elements into rhythmic, graphic compositions across silk, enamel jewelry, and tableware.

Story about the Design:
Concours d’Étriers honors the stirrup—gathered “from the four corners of the world” and organized in dynamic diagonals that evoke the sounds and energy of equestrian sport. First issued on silk and later adapted to enamel, the motif compresses into bold continuous bands around the wrist, strikingly framed by the near-black PVD rim.
