Artist's Story:
Paul Quenson is a French designer and Hermès alumnus whose work bridges leather goods and graphic surface design. Within the Maison’s jewelry and accessories studios in the early 2010s, Quenson developed contemporary, architectural motifs adapted to printed enamel, notably translating the house’s pyramid “clou” language into illusionistic, three-dimensional compositions.

Story about the Design:
“Clous en trompe-l’œil” reimagines Hermès’ historic pyramid studs—familiar from Médor and clou de selle codes—through a trompe-l’œil treatment that renders faceted studs in perspective across the bangle. The “Multicolour Club” harmony layers sport-inspired banding with alternating light/dark facets, enhancing the optical depth of the printed enamel and creating a dynamic stacker with solid bangles and cadenas motifs from the same era.
