Artist's Story:
Cyrille Diatkine is a French graphic designer and Hermès carré artist known for modern, poster-like compositions that play with fragmentation, rhythm, and typography. Active with Hermès since the mid-2000s, his portfolio includes designs such as En Désordre, Kelly en Calèche, Le Monde est Vaste, and Suite et Poursuite, and collaborations across silk, leather goods, and brand imagery.

Story about the Design:
Astrologie Nouvelle is a contemporary re-composition of Françoise Faconnet’s classic 1963 “Astrologie.” Diatkine deconstructs and reorders the zodiac tableaux into alternating, offset panels, creating a syncopated visual narrative that references the Renaissance astronomical tables behind the original while giving the motif sharper graphic energy. Hermès has since adapted the theme across multiple formats, including silk accessories and ready-to-wear accents.
